Let's do the right things!

Often I received these remarks and reactions from friends when i scolded 'em for littering....

"ala budak ni memang skema sikit wey...(gelak-gelak/sengih).."

"dia memang mcm tu...dia marah kalau orang buang sampah merata-rata.."

"die ni kesedaran sivik tinggi sikit weyh...jangan buang sampah merata2 depan die"

"......(just sengih)...."

and many more....

let me tell u this, littering is sooooo NOT cool my friends!

Why on earth do you have to litter when you have other ways to throw it away...bins are placed everywhere nowadays....why not use it? Even if there's no bin at that place at that moment, you can always keep it with you until you find the dustbins elsewhere...I do that all the time....i keep my trash in a plastic in my car and throw it away when i found dustbin....it's not too hard to do aren't it?

Even in Islam...we were taught ever since kindergarten, that "cleanliness is part of faith". So why litter? aren't "NOT LITTERING" is part of cleanliness?

"Islam places great emphasis on cleanliness, in both its physical and spiritual aspects. On the physical side, Islam requires the Muslims to clean their bodys, clothes, houses, and the whole community, and they will be rewarded by God for doing so. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, for example:
“Removing any harm from the road is charity (that will be rewarded by Allah).” [Bukhari]"

"Littering, according to Sheikh Musa Furber, a researcher and scholar of Islamic sciences with the Abu Dhabi-based Tabah Foundation, goes against one of the most important tenets of Islam: doing good for others. The subject is mentioned in one of the hadiths, of which about 60,000 are known to exist. Reported by Abu Hurairah, a companion of the Prophet, the hadith dictates that removing harmful things from pathways is an act of charity."

See? not only that you have to keep yourself and your house and clothes clean....but the whole community. it's our responsible to keep clean. :)

how would you feel when u suddenly stepped on trash while walking on the road?

how would you feel when people throw rubbish in your territory/area?

Doesn't it annoys you?

You might think that you're the only one doing it and it's no big deal at all or it's just a small piece of sweet wrapper but have you ever thought that the little things that you do can give BIG impact to others whether you realize it or not.

Let's not litter shall we? Let's us together do the right things from now on...yosh!!
